Our Story

My momma Carolynne had the most beautiful green thumb. Our home was filled with thriving plants — her pride and joy. When she passed away in 1981 at just 37 years old, I was only 9. Within a few years, her plants faded too. I blamed myself. I just didn't have her gift.

For the next two decades, every plant I touched died. No matter what I tried.

Then in 2017 a work promotion came with a gift — a little pothos I named Esther. She thrived. 🌿 A few years later my boyfriend Paul brought home two spider plants. I named them Fred and Ethel — yes, like I Love Lucy — and they thrived too. ❤️

Fast forward to 2026. I am weeks away from turning 54 and I now have nearly 70 plants. A few months ago I finally got the one plant I had always wanted — a Creeping Charlie, just like the gorgeous one my momma used to grow. She is absolutely flourishing.

And it hit me all at once — I had my momma's green thumb the whole time.

Around the same time, my growing plant collection needed a home. Paul suggested handmade macramé hangers. I resisted, searched stores, found nothing worth buying, and finally gave in. Being AuADHD I dove in completely — studying knots, cord types, and patterns until I was making pieces I was truly proud of. Beautiful, professional, and full of heart.

That is when Carolynne's Garden Greenhouse was born. Named for my momma. Built from her gift. Created to share that love with every plant lover out there — from the nervous beginner to the seasoned plant parent.
